A place we call home
This is the family residence located at #13 Esperanza St. Hilltop-Mansion Heights Barangay Greater Lagro, Municipality of Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines. Our family moved here in 1971. The 1971 house used to be just a two bedroom bungalow, however each time my parents Tomas and Carmelita Ongoco had the financial oppotunity they would make extensions in the house until it had four rooms in 1973. During the years spanning the early 70's to the late 80's my paternal grandfather, Severino O. Ongoco, my maternal grandfather and grandmother Pedro T. Sanchez and Natividad D. Dizon respectively, comes to visit and also lived for several months. Hence it can be called an ancestral house.
Hilltop Subdivision is developed as a subdivision in 1959 and used to be the site where the President Elpidio Quirino Mansion once stood util it was gutted by fire in 1980. Today, Our Lady of Fatima University stand where the Quirino Mansion used to be situated.
